Somewhere in 2001 the guys soon to be F.U.B.A.R. established an old school grindcore band called I scream: Protest. They only played 2 gigs and after kicking out the only original member they changed their name and recorded their first demo under the name of F.U.B.A.R. With a demo in hands they started to play as much as possible and soon after F.U.B.A.R. started to write new songs for their first release, a split with American grinders: Catheter. After that more shows followed, festivals as Obscene extreme, Bloodshedfest and with bands such as Phobia, My Minds Mine, Autoritär, Last Days Of Humanity, Regurgitate, Sculs And Flames, Sayyadina. 2005 was a good year for F.U.B.A.R., they were very happy to release their first full length CD on Bones Brigade Records... And they also got on a plane to do a tour in Brazil! Back home F.U.B.A.R. started to work on an split with our friends of Blood I Bleed. And after they saw Splitter play F.U.B.A.R. decided it also would be very nice to do a split with them. More shows and more releases followed.

PRIMEVAL SOUP

"to the great calamity of the inhabitants"
Year:  2017
Country:  UK
City:  Brighton
Label:  Pumpkin
Format:  CD, LP
Tracks:  10
Time:  42 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:        Prog Punk

Formed from the ashes of Collective Responsibility in late 2009, Primeval Soup started jamming in a squatted garage in Brighton. After a brief period as a 4-piece the band shifted to a 3-piece. They played a handful of shows in early 2010 under various names but came to settle on Primeval Soup in early spring. Playing an energetic mix of punk, ska and reggae their first bunch of songs were a chaotic mix of these genres. They recorded their debut album 'Let's Start Something' in the summer of 2010. 12 songs were recorded, mixed and mastered in 2 days by the band. The album featured songs about animal rights, anti-miltilarism, dumpster diving and various socio/political issues. The band put on a lot of their own shows at social centres, pubs and squats and helped re-ignite Brighton Punx Picnic. anarcho peace punk band started in 2009 in Brighton, UK, as result of differents bands already dissolved. It seem to main inspiration of Primeval Soup are bands such as: CRASS, Subhumans, Flux Of Pink Indiands, Conflict and similars. But their music is clearly far of post-punk or any kind of music experimentation, and their song sound closer to reggae and ska, as well as progressive rock, despite their base is punk rock. Long, complicated and elaborated songs which became original and fresh at the same time and can be describe as some kind of "prog punk" If it exist this adjective. Highly recommended for those open minded.

HOLY MOSES

"world chaos"
Year:  1990
Country:  Germany
City:  Hamburg
Label:  Nuclear Blast
Format:  CD, LP
Tracks:  12
Time:  40 min.
Lyrical themes:  social issues, politics
Genre:  rock
Style:        Thrash Metal

Holy Moses no longer have anything to prove to the international metal scene. Their multi- faceted thrash metal, front woman Sabina Classen's charismatic voice and their unique mix of traditional attitude and experimental evolvement have been instrumental in establishing the band as a known quantity since the beginning of their career in the early 1980s. It's still first-rate thrash metal, fast- paced and powerful, chaotic at times but with a modern touch and amazingly multi-faceted guitars and drums. Important to comment Holy Moses is a Metal band with ideas and principles, and a very good sample of this fact is some of their lyrics (also a Dead Kenedys and DRI covers). Very good album for those lovers of old-school thrash metal. In 2018 the album was re-released through record label "Nuclear Blast" with some changes on graphic design, cover, back, etc.

TRAP THEM

"sleepwell deconstructor"
Year:  2007
Country:  US
City:  Boston
Label:  Trash Art
Format:  CD, LP
Tracks:  12
Time:  26 min.
Genre:  rock
Style:        Grindcore

TRAP THEM formed in 2002. They simply cracked the hostile cocoon into something more than an idea. It became a living breathing monster, deadset on distortion. Founding members Brian Izzi and Ryan McKenney gave themselves no guidelines, no pre-conceived delusions of takeover, no aspirations of success. They wanted to create music and they wanted it to damage. Over a decade and seven critically acclaimed releases (three EPs and four LPs) later, Trap Them have never strayed from the path they chose to walk. The music went from heavy to heavier, from dark to darker. Feral. Between every release, weeks and months were spent spreading the black gospel of distortion around the globe. There may be many questions about Trap Them, but there are only two answers. There is none more ugly and, most certainly, none more bitter. After two EP's this was their debut album and one of the best TRAP THEM recordings.

SIX FEET UNDER

"maximum violence"
Year:  1999
Country:  US
City:  Seattle
Label:  Metal blade
Format:  CD, LP
Tracks:  13
Time:   40 min.
Lyrical themes:  social issues, politics
Genre:  rock
Style:        Death Metal

The adjective "punk" next to "death metal" is in the sense of lyrical themes, but strictly musical Six Feet Under is basically death metal with some touches of rock'n'roll, punk and also hardcore... but  just a few ones.  Originally a side project for Cannibal Corpse vocalist Chris Barnes and former Obituary guitarist Allen West, Six Feet Under eventually became a full-time proposition when friction between Barnes and his other bandmates became too much to bear. Featuring ex-Death bassist Terry Butler and drummer Greg Gall in the rhythm section, Six Feet Under issued their debut album, Haunted, in 1995. Barnes subsequently quit Cannibal Corpse, and Six Feet Under issued the stopgap EP Alive and Dead in 1996 to tide fans over until the following year's full-length, Warpath. Third album Maximum Violence appeared in 1999. Graveyard Classics followed a year later and 2001's True Carnage featured guest vocals from Ice-T. Double Dead arrived in 2002, followed by Bringer of Blood in 2003, Graveyard Classics, Vol. 2 in 2004, 13 and the Decade in the Grave box in 2005, Commandment in 2007, Death Rituals in 2008, and Graveyard Classics, Vol. 3 in 2010. The band eventually went through a membership shakeup in 2011-2012, with Gall leaving to form a new project, Exitsect, 2011 touring bassist Matt DeVries leaving to join Fear Factory, and Butler leaving to join Obituary. Six Feet Under recruited drummer Kevin Talley, guitarist Rob Arnold, and bassist Jeff Hughell to fill the spots, and later in 2012 released their ninth studio album, Undead. 2013's Unborn featured some guest guitar work from Whitechapel's Ben Savage and Torture Killer's Jari Laine, while 2015's Crypt of the Devil, the group's eleventh studio long player, saw Barnes collaborating with Cannabis Corpse bassist/vocalist Phil "Landphil" Hall. The following year saw the release of the group's fourth album of covers, the aptly-named Graveyard Classis, Vol. 4: Number of the Priest. ~ Steve Huey

A Day to Remember is a band from Ocala, Florida, founded in 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs. They are mainly known for their unusual amalgamation of metalcore and pop punk as a musical style, as well as playing other styles. The band consists of vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Neil Westfall, bassist Joshua Woodard, percussion and drummer Alex Shelnutt and lead guitarist Kevin Skaff. Signing with Indianola for their first album, And Their Name Was Treason (2005), Scruggs was replaced by Shelnutt in 2006. Later that year the band recorded For Those Who Have Heart (2007) for Victory. They embarked on several tours of the UK and U.S. and played at several festivals, before recording and releasing Homesick (2009). While promoting Homesick on tour, Denney was replaced by Skaff. Soon after releasing their next album, What Separates Me from You (2010), the band went on a worldwide tour to promote it. In 2011, the band was involved in a lawsuit with Victory over their recording contract, which was settled in October 2013. The band released their fifth album, Common Courtesy (2014), the same month which sound closer than pop, emo and punk ever.
