INTERNAL DAMAGE is a 4 piece grindcore / mincecore band from Saint-Petersburg, Russia since 2007. They have recorded two albums and three ep's in the vein of old-school grindcore bands such as: Napalm Death, Liberteer, Assück, Agathocles, Phobia, Archagathus, Magrudergrind, Kill The Client, Fitcage, Warsore, Steak Chaos, Violent Headache, etc. I read somewhere they made "social grindcore". In this link here below you can listen to all its discography until 2015. I recommend with no doubt for all those who love true grindcore in the purest old-school. Its sound is quite clear, well produced and nothing to do with amateur sound, lo-fi or something like that, but the opposite. Voices are not too much gutural, but rather similar to crustcore bands. It seem in Russia and its area they are a well known band in the extreme music scene, and is not strange at all, due to its high quality sound, music and lyrics. Highily recommended.

I like their experimental stuff from this period and these three albums. The vocals and music don't seem to quite gel, but kudos to them for trying. I also like the engineering - more space, more cosmic ambient, more bass, than the solid wall of white noise that is their Russell - engineered albums today. "Inside the torn part" mark the finish of those three albums  where Napalm Death abandoned their typical grindcore style to approach to music styles closer to avantgarde, experimental and alternative. Understood, underrated and almost forgot albums then, mid 90s, which with the pass of the years became in a really original Napalm Death albums (*Review by Greg Pratt ).

The 90s was a time of reckoning for a lot of classic 80s metal and punk bands. Usually said bands jumped onto a trend and lost any of their identity, stuck to their guns only to fall flat, or ended up producing a magnum opus. Napalm Death were odd in that they not only managed to jump onto a trend (avantgarde / experimental) but then actually made a true classic with "fear, emptiness, despair". This time the band repeated more or less the same idea, this mix of avantgarde, experimental and alternative, which can to remind some industrial bands as Ministry or Godflesh.

what we have here is a combination of gutural vocals done old singer, Lee Dorrian and backup ones by Mick Harris, who left the band in the early 90s. I'd have to say that the older Napalm Death releases like this one are where they were at their best. I would say that this album is better than "Scum" because the music is more catchy and the intensity of the songs are more noticable. Total grindcore classic album recorded in 1993 in nowhere... by anybody... in fact, the band never revealed its real name, nationality, etc. but people always said they were / are from Mexico City. This album entitled "Matando güeros" (in spanish = "killing yankees") was a total succes in the extreme musical scene from early 90s. This is BRUJERIA’s first, and to me, best sounding album. It is not over burdened by fancy guitar leads and tasteful drum work. Cro-Magnon riffs and skull smashing skin pounding. If this sounds unappealing to you, then stop reading now. If you're expecting the electronic tones of Fear Factory, this is not for you. It sounds like your basic murky, technical and "clean" grindcore, with an emphasis on thrash-metal influences. This sounds like it was recorded in a sewer. This album would be the sound a mutated betentacled sewer monster would make if it could talk. And that is where the appeal for this album lies with me. Best good thing about the album is that the songs are very short, direct, simple, thereby not causing boredom. The album clocks in at just over 30 minutes. The songs also follow a basic structure, but they still throw a few surprises here and there. I feel that the album is best when listened to from beginning to end, like a book. If you like basic grindcore, this is a good album. If you are stuck in melodic baroque metal limbo than it probably won’t appeal to you. About lyrics, they are apparently gore, but If you know well spanish language, you can to understand ceratin messages against social injustices, third world, poverty, etc. The CD I bought has this censored cover, but the original is totally gore.

In this second album, Brujeria seems slower, with more elaborated songs and a comeback to the possible origins of grindcore: a mix of thrash and hardcore. Philosophically, grindcore developed as a backlash against the Conservatism,  often deals with criticisms of the Establishment and concern over the destruction of the environment, war, pauverty, etc. identically to hardcore punk lyrical themes.

The initial impression about the album, ‘Pocho Aztlan’ is pure riff worship. Its a lengthy album containing thirteen songs of hard hitting metal having influences of death metal, grindcore and groove metal. Majority of vocals are Spanish, which made it difficult for me to understand it as far as lyrics are concerned. The album begins with a mysterious folk/tribal tone and all of a sudden you can hear police helicopters whirling down. ”Who wants celebration? Put your hands up.’’ The drums blast in with palm muted riffing. This is the title track to begin the album with. An extremely moshable song, with a very unorthodox vocal style which sounds raw and perfect being sung in Spanish. ‘Pocho Aztlan’ is a worship of guitar riffs, mind-numbing drumming and one of its kind chaotic vocals you would have heard. Roughly sixteen years is what it took the band to create this monster of an album. With the sole purpose of heaviness, Brujeria have achieved this album and will be absolutely proud of it. Be prepared for pure chaos when the band starts touring this fall. Lot of necks are about to get hurt (review written by Sanjit Lal ).

Formed by Richard Hoak after the demise of Brutal Truth. Richard Hoak is the main composer Brutal Truth drummer and vocalist. Joining Total Fucking Destruction on a "Terrorizer" magazine sponsored Grind Over UK tour in November of 2004 would be Pig Destroyer and doom metal duo Halo and the UK's Narcosis. In 2006 the band donated their rendition "Kill your boss" of to raise funds for the Eye Hate God musicians on the "Emetic Records" assembled benefit CD "For The Sick - A Tribute To Eyehategod'. In September donated exclusive material to the first of "Relapse Records" 7" Slimewave Series, this collaborative effort shared with Machetazo. In January 2007 Total Fucking Destruction announced they had signed to "Translation Loss Records" for a debut album entitled "Zen And The Art Of Total Fucking Destruction", a mix of studio, acoustic and live tracks. The group partnered with Brutal Truth for UK dates in February. In October 2008 they released the album called "Peace, love and total fucking destruction". Richard Hoak record also electronic harsh noise under the name of Peacemaker. Strictly musical Total Fucking Destruction is a band which mix pure grindcore with heavy metal guitar riffs, humor, parody and social / political lyrics... all at the same time, and surprisingly the result is good, very good.
