Controversial band formed in Edinburgh, UK, in 1979 by vocalist Wattie Duncan (also professional soldier), his brother and two more musicians. Since then the band has recorded several albums mostly fast punk hardcore oriented (also called "UK82") with heavy metal influences in two albums recorded in the 90s. The only one exception was this "horror epics" which the band decided to writen songs closer to goth rock, with electronic drums, reverb effects in voice and chorus and a general sound production close to dark atmospheres. Even lyrically some songs could be labelled as "goth punk" or simply death rock. The release was issued firstly in 1984 in the US and one year later in the rest of the world, with some re-issues made by different record labels. Recommended for those who use to dislike The Exploited typical albums.

"war now + jesus is dead"

In 1988 the band recorded a new mini-album entitled "War now", which was made also next to another mni-album "Jesus is dead" becoming as an unofficial album on CD, LP and cassette format. This recording from 1988 could be their last classic fast punk just before to writen songs into thrash metal or crossover thrash as next to albums "Massacre"and "Beat the bastards". The song in these two mini-albums together sound to classic punk 82, punk hardcore or whatever related, but perhaps the quality sound is a bit poor, even a bit lo-fi. About lyrics they continue to deal the same subjects as always: militarism, violence, chaos, nihilism, etc.

This is perhaps their most controversial album, due their writen texts added inside, which the band affirmed their disgust with Dead Kennedys, Septic Death and "Maximun Rock'n'Roll" members too. Both, band and fanzine, had several disputes with the band and their singer Wattie Bucan during the 80's decade. Strictly musical this is perhaps the album closer to heavy metal or crossover thrash, and in 1990 had quite succes in the scene and general public. It was recorded 14 abril 1990. Lyrical themes are as usual: paramilitary, nihilism, chaos and violence.

Early 00's the group abandoned definetily their thrash-metal influences, to record again an album in their pure and typical fast UK82 or simply punk hardcore as their classic albums. The answer was positive and more than satisfactory and after to sign with label "Dream Catcher" there were more labels interested in re-issue this album as "Nuclear Blast" and others.
