Veteran hardcore rap band from LA. active from 1986-2009 firstly under the name of "Social Justice" after "Downset". Reformed in 2013 with a
new line-up, toured hnd recorded a single. In 2014, it was announced
that a different line-up of Downset made up of mostly original members,
including founding member Rey Oropeza would be touring as well as
releasing new music.In this "One blood" the band continues making fresh and original mix of hardcore, punk, metal and rap music, with strong attitude and principles as their first days.

Born the protection of the hardcore scene, they started as Social Justice and practiced old-school hardcore music . The
band was formed in 1992 and created buzz in the local scene of Los
Angeles for his proposal sometimes very similar to rage against the
machine trying social issues , violence, abuse of women , political
corruption , and also personal items in the case the
anger of this debut song that deals with the death of Pope vocalist of
the band and its shape is expressed very explicitly and very angry this
event happened in the riots in the 92 The
band has toured with promising shoots of the scene as sx -10, Shootyz
groove, dog eat dog , biohazard and people of other genres such as
panther, the almighty . were
special guests at the ozzfest 1997.y were also in great events like
roskilde and dynamo . in 1993 they released a demo called our
suffocation which included some songs from this recording . downset
is a relentless fusion : rap, hardcore, punk, metal and subtly inroads
with other genres such as reggae or alternative rock. are
arguably one of the best hardcore, rap, metal, crossover bands doing in
the world. this album was released by the label "Mercury" (Universal
Music) and few years after they worked also next to "Epitaph Records"
from Berkeley, CA. In 2009 they disbanded to come back in 2014 with new
studio album, world tour, etc.

Started in 1986 in Lod Angeles as a fistful of teenagers who loved to make fast punk with optimistic lyrics, later even straight edge. Under "Social Justice" they recorded this album plus an EP three years later. This album was re-issued in 1995 by "Lost & Found Records" with some changes in sound and artwork which you can see HERE .This album sound simply old-school hardcore or just fast punk, but later in 1992 the band recorded their second work, an EP with four new songs totally influenced by rap music and metal genre, as usual Downset style.
