While She Sleeps are an English metalcore band from Sheffield. Formed in 2006, the group consists of vocalist Lawrence Taylor, guitarists Sean Long and Mat Welsh, bassist Aaran McKenzie and drummer Adam Savage. They are currently an independent band in the UK and are signed to SharpTone Records in the US and UNFD in Australia. They have released one EP, The North Stands for Nothing, in 2010, and three studio albums, This Is the Six, Brainwashed and You Are We. They received the Best British Newcomer award at the Kerrang! Awards 2012.

When Bay Area pop punk outfit Tsunami Bomb came to a close in 2005, drummer Gabe Lindeman and guitarist/vocalist Jay Northington were left without a band, but not without their desire to keep playing music. It just made sense for the friends to continue writing and practicing together, and so that's what they did in an old woodshop in Petaluma, CA. They christened the project Nothington in the spring of 2006 and posted some demos online, though at that point, they still had yet to figure out what exactly they wanted to do with the music. A few weeks later, the duo hooked up with guitarist/ vocalist Chris Matulich (whose own punk act Enemy You had been idle for the last few years), and with the final addition of bassist Mike Hicks (a vet of the local scene), Nothington was complete and ready for action. The quartet signed to Los Angeles based "BYO Records" that summer and hit the studio. Channeling acts closer to post-hardcore emo and pop punk likes: Leatherface, HDQ, Social Distortion and Tom Waits, their Southern tinged punk first appeared on wax via the "One for the Road" 7" in late 2006, released through local indie Left Off the Dial. Their full-length "in the end" dated to 2017 february and was issued through label "Red Scare Records".

Formed in 1980 and discontinued in 1983, Minor Threat is considered one of the most influential hardcore punk bands ever. They released one full-length and three EPs. After breaking up, frontman Ian MacKaye resurfaced in Fugazi. Originally released in 1981 as two 7" Ep's the first album of Minor Threat is a true classic in the punk-rock history.  Formed in 1980 and discontinued in 1983, Minor Threat is considered one of the most influential american hardcore punk bands of the early 80s. They released one full-length and three EPs. After breaking up, frontman Ian MacKaye resurfaced in Fugazi in 1983 and continued his work with the prestigious label "Dischord Records". Minor Threat and few bands more (Bad Brains, Teen Idles, SOA or Government Issue) were part of a small wave of new kids and bands in washington DC, many of whom were not into drugs and alcohol. Some of the bands made mention of this in their lyrics, and Minor Threat’s song "Straight Edge" coined the phrase that is now used to describe a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle. Ian MacKaye considers straight edge to be just his personal ideology and doesn't even like the straight edge movement or judge non-straight edge people. But few years after straight edge became as a movement and 80´s later appeared an extreme group called "hard-line" which its members were vegans and radically intolerants with other kind of way of life. Frankly strictly musical Minor Threat is not an exceptional band in aspect, its style is very simple and almost amateur. A kind of play punk-rock faster with melodical voice, but even in Washingtong there was a band very more interesting at all: Bad Brains. In another coast of atlanthic were the second punk wave with bands really innovate like Discharge or The Exploited. The most important element in Minor Threat was not the music but the new ideas and new way of life in the rock´n´roll culture since its born in 1957.

RAMONES were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. Despite achieving only limited commercial success, the band was a major influence on the punk rock movement in both the United States and, perhaps to a greater extent, the United Kingdom.  All of the band members adopted pseudonyms ending with the surname "Ramone", although none of them were related. They performed 2,263 concerts, touring virtually nonstop for 22 years. In 1996, after a tour with the Lollapalooza music festival, the band played a farewell concert and disbanded. Only a little more than eight years after the breakup, all three of the band's founding members - lead singer (and, at the time of founding, drummer) Joey Ramone, guitarist Johnny Ramone, and bassist Dee Dee Ramone - had died.  Their only record with enough U.S. sales to be certified gold was the compilation album Ramones Mania. In 2002, the Ramones were ranked the second-greatest band of all time by Spin magazine, trailing only the Beatles. Christopher Joseph Ward (born October 8, 1965), better known as C. J. Ramone, is an American musician best known for working as the bassist, backing and occasional lead vocalist of the punk rock group the Ramones from 1989 to 1996. He is one of the three surviving members of the Ramones, along with two of their drummers Marky Ramone and Richie Ramone. He played with the band until they retired on August 6, 1996. BAD CHOPPER was a band formed by CJ Ward (aka C.J. Ramone) after the break-up of Los Gusanos. Started in 2000 as The Warm Jets (they released one single under that name), but changed their name in 2001 to Bad Chopper due to another band called Warm Jets. Released a couple singles and one full-length album before splitting in 2008.

After eight years of complete discographic silence, the californian veterans punk rockers attack us again with new album. This time there is again that mix of goth punk which remind classic bands as: The Damned, with some pop influences, whith few distorted guitards and clear and melodic voices too. It's no sure to describe this one as a goth punk album, in the 80's style, but it's something like that. This is more related to optimistyc and positive pop attitude. The band added in some songs even electronic keyboard and piano. But the final result is more than satisfactory, not the typical TSOL album, but good anyway. Highly recommended
