"Diabolus in musica" is the seventh studio album by American thrash metal band SLAYER.
Released on June 9, 1998, it is the second studio album to feature
drummer Paul Bostaph. Although receiving mixed critical reviews, the
album sold 46,000 copies in its first week to peak at number 31 on the Billboard
200. Guitarist Jeff Hanneman
wrote most of the album's content which has been described as Slayer's
most experimental album. It is the band's first studio album to be
played mostly in C# tuning. The album's title is a Latin term for "The
Devil in Music", a musical interval known for its dissonance. Lyrical
themes explored on the album include religion, cultural deviance, social
injustice, war and homicide.

Woundvac is a 4 piece grindcore band formed in 2014 from Phoenix, Arizona, and since nowadays they have recorded three EP's, all of them compiled here under title of "sentient cancer". In fact the band play more than simply grindcore and they also add other elements and influences closer to thrash-metal and beatdown hardcore. Imgaine old-school grindcore bands crossed with slow hardcore bands as: Neurosis, Earth Crisis or Refused, and slowest Nuclear Assault parts. Hard to believe but their technical level is surprisingly high, as well as their brilliant quality sound and original lyrics. At the moment they have just recorded a fistful of good tracks, no more than twenty minutes, but it seem wwe are probably in front of one of the new and young grindcore blood. Highly recommended for lovers of the genre.

Sacred Reich are a well known name back in the day and quite popular. They didn’t play Dynamo two years in a row for nothing! Trust me, I was there, and they ruled. They ruled big time. Such a great liveband. More than how they are now sometimes remembered or looked down upon by people who weren’t there. A bit of a shame really…. "cause in 1990 Sacred Reich were in the subtop and because of their great live perfomance and earlier releases, every selfrespecting thrash metal head was waiting anxiously for ‘The American Way’. Whereas ‘Ignorance’ was a good yet two-dimensional piece of unoriginal political left wing thrash metal, ‘The American Way’ managed to produce mosty midtempo thrash without losing power and evolving into their own sound. Agreed, the riffs are still mostly simple but really standing out, as always, are the more than excellent drums of Greg Hall (No wonder Slayer attempted to get this man!) and the charisma and character of Phil Rind’s vocals and lyrics. ‘Who’s To Blame’ and ‘Crimes Against Huminity’ are perfect examples of top of the bill 1990 metal lyrics. Also very catchy! And being catchy is not a bad thing here. So what if the average pace was lower. It’s a shame Sacred Reich practically killed themselves later on with a lot of those weird groovemetal songs on ‘Independent’, not finding their form again until 1996’ “Heal” and silently leaving the scene. "The American Way" was, is and will remain: great (*review by Mortbert ).

Sacred Reich is a thrash metal band based in Phoenix, Arizona, that was formed in 1985. Singer/songwriter Phil Rind's interest was in socially conscious and political speed metal. After several albums on Metal Blade Records, they signed to Hollywood Records for a short stint, but later returned to Metal Blade to continue their musical career. The band split in 2000. Former drummer Dave McClain went on to join Machine Head in 1995. Lead guitarist Wiley Arnett went on to form The Human Condition with St. Madness vocalist Prophet in July 2000. In November 2006, the band announced they would play several shows in the summer of 2007 in Europe, including Wacken Open Air. However, according to an interview with bassist/vocalist Phil Rind, there are no plans to record a new Sacred Reich album. The band also contributed the Black Sabbath cover "Sweet Leaf" to the Hempilation: Freedom Is NORML compilation album to benefit NORML, and the Subhumans cover "The Big Picture" appears as the B-side of the "Open Book" promotional single. A three disk boxed set with remastered versions of Ignorance and Surf Nicaragua with additional bonus material, including the "Draining You of Life" demo tape and a live DVD, was originally slated for release in September 2005, but was released in Europe only in the summer of 2007 by Metal Blade Records. In the spring of 2017, the band announced their first North American tour in 21 years.

BAD BRAINS

Format: CD, LP

BAD BRAINS is the first full-length studio album recorded by BAD BRAINS.
It was originally released on cassette only, but has since been
re-released by ROIR on both CD and vinyl. When the album was recorded in
1981 and released finally in 1982, fans and critics alike were
stunned to learn that the musicians behind this album – one of the
fastest albums of all time upon its release – were African-American
Rastafarians who also were skilled at reggae. The album was a crucial
step in the formation of hardcore punk and the eventual fusion of hard
rock and reggae adopted later by bands like Sublime, Fishbone, and 311.
Many of the album's tracks were re-recorded for their 1983 follow-up,
"Rock for Light". "Rock for Light" did not contain re-recordings of
"Don't Need It", "The Regulator", "Jah Calling", "Leaving Babylon", "Pay
to Cum", "I Luv Jah" and "Intro". In-Effect Records released a CD
version with the same track listing titled "Attitude" The ROIR
Sessions in 1991. We are in front of an Essential album of the whole
hardcore punk history. A true Masterpiece which can to sound from fast
and agressive hardcore to extreme slow reggae and even dub. There is no
doubt the little Washington DC scene has given us very good gems

BAD BRAINS is an american hardcore punk band formed in Washington
DC in 1977. They are widely regarded as among the pioneers of hardcore
punk. though the band's members objected to this term to describe their
music. They are also an adept reggae and dub band, while later
recordings featured elements of other genres like funk, heavy metal, hip
hop and soul. BAD BRAINS are followers of the Rastafari movement. Originally formed as a jazz fusion ensemble under the name "Mind Power".
Bad Brains developed a very fast and intense punk-rock sound which came
to be labeled "hardcore", and was often played faster and more
emphatically than the music of many of their peers. The unique factor of
the band's music was the fact that they played more complex rhythms
than other hardcore punk bands, also adapting non-punk style guitar riffs and solos into their songs. Personally I think Bad Brains are the best U.S. hardcore punk band of the early '80s. Both musically, as regards points, have much higher quality than the pioneers of the genre such assumptions: Minor Threat, Black Flag or MDC. Maybe just Dead Kennedys to beat Bad Brains. This album "Rise", for example, pass unnoticed by most people and I think is very original, creative and has a great quality
level. Not just for the good reggae / punk mix of the band, but also to
incorporate some funk, fussion and alternative rock influences in its
music.
