Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The band comprised Robert Plant (vocals), Jimmy Page (guitar), John Paul Jones (bass and keyboards) and John Bonham (drums). With a heavy, guitar-driven sound, Led Zeppelin drew from influences including blues and folk music, and are cited as a progenitor of hard rock and heavy metal. They significantly influenced the music industry, particularly the development of album-oriented rock (AOR) and stadium rock.

Led Zeppelin evolved from a previous band, the Yardbirds, and were originally named the New Yardbirds. They signed a deal with Atlantic Records that gave them considerable artistic freedom. Initially unpopular with critics, they achieved significant commercial success with eight studio albums over ten years. Their 1969 debut, Led Zeppelin, was a top-ten album in several countries and featured such tracks as "Good Times Bad Times", "Dazed and Confused" and "Communication Breakdown". Led Zeppelin II (1969), their first number-one album, included "Whole Lotta Love" and "Ramble On". In 1970, they released Led Zeppelin III which opened with "Immigrant Song". Their untitled fourth album, commonly known as Led Zeppelin IV (1971), is one of the best-selling albums in history, with 37 million copies sold. It includes "Black Dog", "Rock and Roll" and "Stairway to Heaven", with the latter among the most popular and influential works in rock. Houses of the Holy (1973) yielded "The Song Remains the Same" and "Over the Hills and Far Away". Physical Graffiti (1975), a double album, featured "The Rover" and "Kashmir".

Page composed most of Led Zeppelin's music, while Plant wrote most of the lyrics. Jones occasionally contributed keyboard-focused parts, particularly on the band's final album. The latter half of their career saw a series of record-breaking tours that earned the group a reputation for excess and debauchery. Although they remained commercially and critically successful, their touring and output, which included Presence (1976) and In Through the Out Door (1979), declined in the late 1970s. After Bonham's death in 1980, the group disbanded. The former members have sporadically collaborated and participated in one-off concerts, including the 2007 Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert in London, with Bonham's son Jason Bonham on drums.

Led Zeppelin are one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated record sales of between 200 and 300 million units worldwide. They achieved eight consecutive UK number-one albums and six number-one albums on the US Billboard 200, with five of their albums certified Diamond in the US by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Rolling Stone described them as "the heaviest band of all time", "the biggest band of the seventies", and "unquestionably one of the most enduring bands in rock history".[2] They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995; the museum's biography states that they were "as influential" in the 1970s as the Beatles were in the 1960s.

Latzen is a group that was formed in 1993 and its members are Gorka Lazkano (drums), Joxemari Azpitarte (bass), Aitor Uriarte (vocals and guitar) and Iker Martinez de Zuazo (guitar). They started out when they were only sixteen years old but soon after finding a place in their village they entered the rehearsal room of the legendary Hor Konpon, where Latzen's house would be. In December of the same year they played their first “concert” (four songs), made up of covers, at the Ongi bar in Oñati. By Easter 1995 they already had enough songs and they contacted the producer Carlos Creador to record six songs. With him they recorded their first and only demo, “Heriotzari deika”, at “Rockstudios” in Bilbao. They managed to sell the 2000 copies manufactured.  Soon they got more concerts, awards, they started to be heard on the radio, and they even got a proposal from Oihuka to record their first album. In the summer of 1996 they went to the Elkar studios with Jean Phocas as technician and Carlos Creator as producer, and there “Kontzientzia ala Infernua” was born. The album was a great success and the group hit hard on the Basque rock scene. The album was a string of hard metal songs, always with a touch of rock, and also the one that would later become very well-known, the ballad “Laztana”.

In March 1998 at the Elkar studios, again with Jean Phocas as technician and under the baton of Kaki Arkarazo. There the group met Haritz Harreguy, who would later become the group’s live technician. The group hardened its sound, lost speed and increased strength and impact. The second album was called “Ardi larruz” and again had a great impact.

Concerts are coming again and for the first time Latzen creates excitement in Madrid, Zaragoza, Guadalajara and other places, taking their first steps in the state. The group will continue to give concerts until August 1999 when they stop and decide to break up.

In total, Latzen leaves behind 160 concerts. A short but intense journey. The last concert is in Arantza, on August 13, 1999.
Eight years have passed, each one has made his own way and in this period, there have been different musical projects: Aitor, together with Haritz Harreguy, was in “Sen” between 1999 and 2004 and is currently the singer of “Une”. Iker and Joxemari, after participating in other projects, are now in “Potemkin”, playing guitar and bass respectively. Iker also plays in “Amonal”.

Now the same people who created Latzen fourteen years ago, with the intention of closing the circle with respect to themselves and their fans in the best way, will take a short break from their lives and their respective groups to recover the strength of Latzen and give some specific concerts. Everything will be recorded in DVD and live CD format. Afterwards they will return to the projects “Une” and “Potemkin” to continue their next works.

Refused is a Swedish punk rock band originating from Umeå and formed in 1991. Refused is composed of vocalist Dennis Lyxzén, guitarist Kristofer Steen, drummer David Sandström, and bassist Magnus Flagge. Guitarist Jon Brännström was a member from 1994, through reunions, until he was fired in late-2014. Their lyrics are often of a non-conformist and politically far-left nature.

On January 9, 2012, the band announced their reunion confirming shows at Coachella, Rock am Ring, Ruisrock, Roskilde Festival, Groezrock, Way Out West Festival, Sonisphere Festival (Cancelled), Download Festival, Rock for People, Primavera Sound, Hellfest, Fuji Rock Festival, Øyafestivalen, Pukkelpop, Resurrection. After embarking on a world tour for nearly a year, Refused went on hiatus again in 2012, but announced another reunion in November 2014.

The band released five EPs and three full-length albums before originally splitting up in 1998, and released their fourth full-length album Freedom on the Epitaph Records label on June 26, 2015. "Elektra" was released as the first single from the comeback album on April 27, 2015.

Crust punk band from Memphis, Tennessee, active between 1995 and 1999. Their lyrics focused around a myriad of topics, such as racism in modern America, paranoia, poverty, forced institutionalization, anti-consumerism, and political anarchism. They were also known for their questioning of technology and their lack of any formal online presence.

15 Counts of Arson Review by Paul Kott. His Hero Is Gone was one of a small handful of standouts among the gamut of crust bands of the late '90s. Like many bands playing music in this vein, including fellow southerners and contemporaries Damad, His Hero Is Gone's albums were recorded and produced far from home in the notorious punk rock Mecca of Oakland, CA. Dan Rathburn did a great job recording the 15 songs included on the vinyl version of Fifteen Counts of Arson on 16 tracks at Polymorph, a fairly common studio choice for many bands in this genre. This CD also includes the first material produced by His Hero Is Gone, nine songs recorded by Noah Landis at Oakland's Guerrilla Euphonics. While the first 7" was very well received, the Fifteen Counts of Arson LP firmly established His Hero Is Gone on the streets as a band of note, alongside Damad, Dystopia (not to be confused with pop-punk band Dystopia One) and 1332. Dissonant melody, bludgeoning guitars, and well-done but rather stereotypical gruff vocals define a solid and consistent sound and approach through both of these recordings. The ambiance of the music effectively evokes the lyrical themes chronicling social, institutional, and mental collapse, the pain and hardship of living, and a revolutionary reaction to the banality and restriction of daily life in American culture. Although not the most original band at the time, His Hero Is Gone was sincere, and the music represented on both this CD and on the second LP, Monuments to Thieves, made a significant impact in the underground punk community of the late '90s.

Originally formed in 1978, D.O.A. has been led from the beginning by singer/guitarist Joe Keithley, (aka Joey Shithead), who has been joined by a wide variety of other bandmates through the years (including future Black Flag, Danzig, Social Distortion drummer Chuck Biscuits), although guitarist Dave Gregg was present for much of the hijinks up until 1990. The same year as their formation, D.O.A. issued a debut EP, Disco Sucks, before following it up with a pair of full-lengths that many longtime fans consider D.O.A.'s classic recordings, 1980s Something Better Change and 1981's Hardcore '81 (a popular compilation of both releases plus early tracks reared its head in 1984, as Bloodied But Unbowed). Since the beginning Keithley has been unafraid to voice his political opinions (a renowned D.O.A. slogan among their faithful is "TALK-ACTION= 0"), which at one point, landed him in jail. D.O.A. would go on to sporadically issue albums throughout the '80s and '90s (including such highlights as 1982's War on 45, 1985's The Dawning of a New Error, 1993's Loggerheads, etc.). The group also found time to collaborate with another outspoken punk leader, former Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra, on 1990s Last Scream of the Missing Neighbors. Like Biafra before him, Keithley took the plunge and attempted to enter politics, running as a candidate in Canadian provincial and civic elections for the Green Party in 1996. Keithley also runs his own indie record company, Sudden Death Records, and issued an autobiography in late 2003, titled I, Shithead: A Life in Punk. D.O.A. continues strong to this day, as evidenced by such releases as 2002's Win the Battle. As a result of Keithley's hard work, D.O.A. is often name-checked as an important influence by other hardcore/punk bands, including such notables as Green Day, the Offspring, Rancid, and Propagandhi, among others (by Greg Prato ).

By the time of this 1990 release, D.O.A. was quite a distance from their peak '80s form. The best years were behind them, for sure, but the Canadian rockers still had plenty left to say. Sonically, there's nothing surprising about "murder". The songs are perhaps a little more political than most of their '80s issue material, but only voracious lyric-readers will notice the difference. Highlights include the rambunctious "the agony and the ecstasy" and a truly sinister cover version of "the midnight special" that is probably the record's best cut. The world of bands had already witnessed several generational shifts before this Restless Records offering hit the streets, and even more new artists were waiting on deck, as the punk landscape would quickly become overcrowded with bands who might not even have heard of D.O.A. In such a competitive climate, it's good to know that this traditional hard rocck with some punk touches. outfit had the courage to stick to their early format so many years after their commercial heyday. Definitely an essential album, which has superb production and brilliant sound quality.
