The Ghost Inside make music for the outcasts. They’ve inspired audiences around the world to overcome obstacles, persevere, and find the strength to keep going when it feels like all is lost. Songs like “Out of Control”, “White Light” and “Mercy” are modern hardcore anthems. Passionate crowds have joined them in singalongs at major rock festivals, in theaters and clubs, brought together by the conviction of lyrics like, “Life’s swinging hard but, I’m swinging harder.” On an early morning in November 2015, The Ghost Inside’s tour bus collided with a tractor trailer, killing the drivers of both vehicles on impact, and severely injuring the band and their crew. When The Ghost Inside returned to the stage for the first time, nearly four years later, Kerrang! called it “Rock’s Most Miraculous Comeback” in a detailed cover story about triumph over tragedy. The ultimate victory for The Ghost Inside is their triumphant new self-titled album. thing magical to behold (the historic Shrine Auditorium sold out so quickly, the gig had to be moved to the parking lot), it isn’t the accident, the recovery, nor the onstage return that will define them. Created with producer Will Putney (Every Time I Die, The Amity Affliction, Knocked Loose) and longtime friend/collaborator Jeremy McKinnon of A Day To Remember, The Ghost Inside is 11 songs of determination, deep resolve, reflection, and new found hope. The album cover is a montage of The Ghost Inside lyrics, logos, and imagery, tattooed on fans around the world. The Ghost Inside was formed in El Segundo, California, comprised of Vigil and a group of friends who found inspiration in the long tradition of Southern California punk and hardcore subculture. An early lineup created their debut, Fury and the Fallen Ones (2008). Johnson joined a short while later, with Riley also onboard by the time they released Returners (2010). Tkaczyk became the band’s fulltime drummer before they signed with Epitaph Records to issue their breakthrough album, Get What You Give (2012). They were touring behind Dear Youth (2014) with Davis, but the incredibly collaborative The Ghost Inside (2020) marks his first official recorded appearance.

Among the kings of the late 80s british hardcore punk community, ENT, indisputably deserve their name to be written in big black capitol letters. After speeding up, together with Napalm Death, Doom and the likes, what Discharge created back in the early eighties and inspiring a whole generation of d-beat, crust and grindcore bands, ENT are back in 2017 with a new full length recorded during last months.

With all the tiring line-up changes that occured through the years that ENT are around, it's surprisingly brutal to see that the spirit of this band hasn't change like hell. "Being And Nothing" is a relentless brutal death grinding attack, like no one could foresee. They seem that haven't made music for years, once the rage and blasting fury of this album seems that ENT are just too angry to give a break to the fans. After the amazing "Damage 381", where the old scholl grindcore spirit prevailed [most because of the Barney's trademark vocal register] alongside with social political directioned lyrics, ENT changed a bit their direction focusing much more on brutality and speed, with a new line up [as always] where for my surprise enters former Cradle Of Filth guitar player Gian Pyres. Full blasting from the beggining to the end and killing everything on it's way, "Being And Nothing" only fails in its shortness. Opening with the balzing furious "Being And Nothing" and finishing with "Detestation". Only hatred and fury exales from this album, not for the faint of heart. To have a closer idea of what I'm talking, pick up Malevolent Creation's "Envenomed" and "The Will T Kill" and you can see the difference between "Damage 381" and "Being And Nothing". More in your face brutality, always with superior technical performance, just like a band like ENT could do. Extreme Noise Terror is the new brutality meaning (*Review by Phantasos666 ).

Extreme Noise Terror, once praised as a crust punk grindcore band, then known and now again returned to the roots, are from Ipswich, UK. Formed in 1985, they are one of the key early UK grindcore bands and are still together today with vocalist Dean Jones as the only original member. Notable for their use of dual vocalists and for recording a number of sessions for BBC Radio 1 DJ John peel, Extreme Noise Terror (often abbreviated to ENT) initially started as a hardcore punk band. It became quickly evident from early shows that they were far more extreme than many bands of that genre. Together with Napalm Death, ENT helped characterise the early, archetypal grindcore sound: Fiercely political lyrics, grinding guitars, extremely fast tempo and very short songs. Tracks 1 to 10 originally recorded and mixed at Southern Studios, London - August 1991. Remixed and remastered by Dean Jones and Phil Vane with additional production at Springvale Studios, Ipswich - October 2009.
