"Plus Timbre" is a netlabel dedicated to experimental and improvisational music, aiming to foster and promote material in the widest possible variety of relevant musical styles. Surprisingly Javier Piñango has recorded a new album in very few time from his precedent "I.r.real 6 transcontinental electronic flight" and the result in not bad at all. Despite he preferen do not describe his music as "noise" but with other adjectives such as: experimental, field recordings or abstract music, I personally think he is one of the best musicians in the small spanish experimental / noise music scene. He is not the best one neither the only one, but one of the best. Now I can remember another names such as: Miguel A. Garcia, Juan Antonio Nieto, Arnau Sala, Federico Monti or Sergi Saldaña (Awserd Derf), to mention just a few, but there are more musicians of course. The fact is I can not understand what the musical scene of my own country is not much known or popular in the international scene (?). Returning to this album to say is more or less similar to its predecessor, but perhaps less noisy and more abstract, strange and difficult to to digest. I just listened to this new album few times but If must to choose... maybe I prefer its precedent, but everybody can to judge hymself.

"I.r.real 6: transcontinental electronic flight" has been assembled through an exploration of the sonic boundaries of a Korg MS20 analogue synth. This is the culmination of a long process in which the synthesizer takes possession of the whole “I.r.real” concept... "I.r.real 6: transcontinental electronic flight" is also a journey a transcontinental roller coaster, a drift made of sonic impressions around cities, buildings, airports, planes... "I.r.real 6: transcontinental electronic flight" began to take shape in South America in april 2014 during a journey that included three cities (Buenos Aires, Lima and Montevideo). Those cities inspire nine of the short tracks of this album... In between, flight hours back and forth the continent sonically translated into layers and layers of synthesizer in a extended central piece divided in two “drifting” parts…. "I.r.real 6: transcontinental electronic flight" doesn’t contain field recordings, isn’t faithful to no reality, it doesn’t listen to any reality, it suggests impressions, it streams hum, it’s a mental state of i.r.real sounds, its just electronic music?...
