ALEXEI BORISOV (Алексей Борисов) is one of the 3 first noise / industrial musicians in Russia (1979), active in a dozen of projects, organizer of "NOISE & FURY FESTIVAL" (Moscow), regularly performing all across the globe from New York to Beijing.  JELENA GLAZOVA is a young Latvian sound artist, visual artist and also poet. Active in a sphere of experimental music, actively performing across Europe and Russia. Author of 2 books of poetry. With these 2 people with such a high level, it is not uncommon to find with this new album "Macbeth," which already shows high quality just the first listen. Overall the album is not as abstract as Alexei others, but not so soft and so excessively as Jelena. In my opinion both have mostradoado the best of each one and put together in album form. All they are "easy" to listen and digest, although experimenal music and the feelings that come to mind when listening are: reflection, thought and maturity. Borisov is in the world of music since early childhood and has played everything: classical music, post-punk, rock, harsh noise, industrial, free improvisation, etc. and this fact must be clearly noted in their work ... and it shows. Jelena is rather young, but her talent is easily recognizable and scent about experimental music is concerned. This is one of the albums that I really liked both artists.

Spina presents a split-record again! Jelena Glazova, guest from Riga, played duet with Grigorij Avrorin, musician from St. Petersburg, at Fulldozer festival where the release of Sergey Kostyrko and Rutger Zuydervelt was recorded. Jelena worked to create a background and direction for almost bass solos of Grigorij. It turned out distantly and sometimes frighteningly bleak! In contrast, there is a bright side with music of project Bisamratta. It was formed by Vladimir Luchansky, musician from Novosibirsk which has recently been living in St. Petersburg. This is a guitar ambient at its best: music for meditation, relaxation and sleep.

Format: digital
Tracks:  8
Time:  50 minutes
Genre:  electronic
Style:        Noise        Ambient

Sound artist / visual artist and poet based in Riga, Latvia. Working in interdisciplinary areas of contemporary art, combining in her works image, poetic text, experimental sound and installation. Her sphere of activity in experimental music is drone/noise, usually constructed from processed vocals. As a conceptual artist she is primarily using her voice as a generator, heavily altering it and manipulating with a help of digital processing. She considers that type of vocal elements deconstruction as a form of expressing unpronounced speech - connecting it with her practice as a poet. As a visual artist she is often dealing with physicality, which is also a basis of her work as a sound artist. Experimental music activity: field recordings, noise, ambient, drone... usually constructed from processed vocals. She has worked next to Alexei Borisov, Olga Nosova, Derek Holzer, Ernesto Estrella, Edvins Raups, Constantine Katsiris, Platons Buravickis and Zane Raudina. Between Jelena work we have chosen the closest to NOISE for more or less regular readers of "white noise dada", as some discs may be too soft, silent or in short: AMBIENT. Still, this live recording with artist Derek Holzer shows us a very sound tambén noise / drone and very designed to not irritate the listener if not, on the contrary, rather to relax with strange atmospheres and sounds that seem to be taken from the space.
