Country:  Germany, Slovenia
Label:  Ecocentric
Format:  CD
Tracks:  4
Time:  68 min.
Genre:  electronic
Style:        Industrial        Noise

3 way split CD with 7 MON (Germany) doing there well known noisecore, this time with female vocals… Sist En 343 (Slovenija) doing industrial ambient sculptures of pain, and finally the unknown project TN666 (Germany) which sound some monolithic wide screen noise drone scapes... massive stuff. This last project called Total Noise Beast (TN666 or tn.666) is really a solo project of Matthias Weigand of 7 MON and also the man behind "Ecocentric Records" and "Total Noise Tapes" labels. The album has an excellent artwork with very good designs, pics and info about the bands, etc. The balance of these different three projects is more than satisfactory, which offer to listeners not just an only one musical style, but three at the same time: noise, drone and industrial. Maybe the best 7 MON work recorded ever. Highly recommended.

Seven Minutes Of Nausea (or 7MON short) is one of the more known noise-core bands. 7MON is a band based around Mick Hollows from Australia. The band later moved to Germany and to the United Kingdom. Now Mick is located in Koblenz, Germany (since 2005). 7MON’s music consists of ultra-short (rarely longer than two seconds) noise-core explosions. Rumbling noises contrast with Hollows’ shouted vocals. The band is often given the description “BLUR core”, with the most of the records containing hundreds of songs.

his is the second edition of this Collection CDr which we firstly released in December 2007 and got quickly sold out, as we have been asked several times for it we decided to make this second press for giving a second chance to those who missed the 1st edition. The only change we introduced on this to differentiate both editions was a slight change in colour of artworks replacing red by yellow. For those who already have the first edition there is really no need to get this one because the record has the same structure exactly.  This collection of early 7MON material includes at first place a 19 minutes unreleased recovered piece recorded during the studio sessions of their "The Noise Of The Rose" (7inch EP) released by TNT Records back in 1991, for fans of 7MON this is a precious recording because this enlarges that 7inch which has been one of the best reviewed back in time. Secondly this includes their side for a hard to find split tape called "Autodestrucción" released back in 1992 in the Peruvian label Cintas Extremas, running for nearly 12 minutes this features 7MON at their most fierce and serious noisecore style, truly a very worthly recording of nihilistic Noisecore.     The third track here is a live recording of a gig in Kölhn (April 1994), this intense nearly 15 minutes recording shows us the not very heard live side of 7MON, this was included on 'No More Music' Compilation Tape released in 1993 by Onkel Tuka Tapes.     The last two tracks consist of a couple of short (4-5 minutes) appearances on compilations done in 1992 both, being 'Rudi Rat Volume 4' (Comp. CD) and 'The Master Of Noise' (Comp. LP) released by Ecocentric Records and S.O.A. Records.   Summarizing, all this stuff was recorded between 1991 and 1994 by Mick Hollows & Matthias Weigand, so if you want to explore into the early 90's Seven Minutes Of Nausea material here you're finding some of their rarest recordings of those times.

Well so as anecdote, I want to tell this was my first electronic harsh noise recording in my life. Maybe I was 14 and I knew grindcore and noisecore bands but nothing at all about "harsh noise" or similar. But I decided to buy this EP (coloured white) on label "B-Core Records" from Barcelona in 1993 and... well I was a bit surprised and shocked when I discovered 7MON. The side A was recorded in studio and sound like typical electronic harsh noise, a kind of dense wall. The B side is more typical noise-core: rock band instruments, screams and ultra short and ultra fast songs. Apart this project, he run the essential label "Ecocentric Records" based in Germany but which distribute stuff around the world. I recommended to see five minutes this catalogue about extreme music.
